Delete your Honk account

This page explains how users of the Honk family of apps can request deletion of their account and associated data.

Delete in the app

The fastest way to delete your account is from the app where you are signed in.

  1. Open the Honk family app where you are signed in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Review the warning and confirm the deletion.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email support@honkapp.eu with the subject Account Deletion Request. If possible, send the request from the email address linked to your Honk account. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deleting data.

Data deleted

  • Your Firebase Auth account and sign-in identifiers.
  • Your Honk profile, including display name, emoji, friend code, preferences, notification tokens, and Safety Key data.
  • Friendships, blocked-user records, trusted-contact relationships, and related friend graph records tied to your account.
  • Active Promises, Promise monitoring records, Promise notification state, and Promise history tied to your account where applicable.
  • Other Honk app-family status or membership records tied to your account where applicable.

Data we may keep

Some data may be retained when required or justified for limited purposes.

  • Legal, tax, accounting, billing, or app-store compliance records.
  • Security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, moderation, or dispute records.
  • Records that must be retained to protect the rights, safety, or account state of another user.
  • Backup records until they expire through normal backup rotation.

Timing

In-app deletion starts immediately. Email requests are handled as soon as reasonably possible after account ownership is verified. Backup records and legally retained records may persist for the period needed for the purposes described above.

Delete some data without deleting your account

To request deletion of specific data without deleting your account, email support@honkapp.eu and describe what you want deleted.
